The Sine-wave Vibro Viscometer measures viscosity by detecting the driving electric current necessary to resonate two sensor plates at a constant frequency of 30Hz and amplitude of less than 1mm.
Using a newly developed Tuning-fork Vibration Method, The SV Viscometer allows for high accuracy in a wide measurement ranges, without replacing the sensor plates! (Patent pending)

HOW IT WORKS
When the spring plates are vibrated with a uniform frequency, the amplitude varies in response to the amount of frictional force produced by the viscidity between the sensor plates and the sample. To produce uniform amplitude, the vibro viscometer controls the electrical current that drives the vibration of the spring plates.
Because the frictional force of viscidity is directly proportional to the viscosity, the driving electric current for vibrating the spring plates with a constant frequency to produce uniform amplitude is also directly proportional to the viscosity of each sample. The vibro viscometer measures the driving electric current, and then the viscosity is given by the positive correlation between the driving electric current and the viscosity.

WinCT VISCOSITY SOFTWARE
Using an RS232C interface, the WinCT-Viscometer software lets the Sine-wave Vibro Viscometer display measurement progress in real time on a PC, and easily transmit the measured results to save or analyze. The WinCT-Viscometer CD-ROM is a standard accessory with the SV Series viscometer.
RS VISCO, the graphing software utilized by WinCT-Viscometer, lets you create graphs of measured results and of the progress of viscosity measurement:
2. Graphs can be overlaid in repeating measurements, in 10 colors.
3. Measured data can be saved in a CSV format file.
4. Displayed graphs can be printed with a printer via a PC.
